Where the money leaks between the click and the customer

7 min read · Diagnostics

Between the click and the revenue there’s a journey. At every joint of that journey you lose money you already spent on attracting.

Diagnosing a revenue system isn’t reviewing campaigns. It’s following the money along the whole route and finding the three gaps where, almost always, it’s leaking.

01Tracking gap: platform → CRM

The platform says 500 leads; the CRM has 180. That difference is events without a real lead: phantom forms, duplicates, bots. The problem isn’t cosmetic: the algorithm learns from those 320 that never existed and optimizes toward them. The leak starts before sales touches a single contact.

02Quality gap: CRM → close

Of the 180 in the CRM, sales closes 11. Here the leak is about profile: the system was built optimizing for “form filled”, so it brings in people who fill forms, not people who buy. More volume doesn’t fix this; it makes it worse, because it scales the wrong audience.

03Learning gap: close → system

The quietest leak. When a customer closes, that information almost never travels back to the start of the system. Without that return, the algorithm can’t learn who actually bought, and keeps searching blind. A system that doesn’t feed itself doesn’t compound: it repeats.

Three numbers, three different problems. 500 → 180 is tracking. 180 → 11 is quality. 11 that never return to the system is learning. Treating them as one is why the fix never works.

A proper diagnostic separates the three gaps and measures each on its own. Only then do you know whether the problem is data, profile or circuit — and only then does the fix work.

gaps your money goes through?

An Omnidata diagnostic measures all three separately and locates the real leak.
